Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Upon arrival, our guide will be holding a sign with your name and welcome you at Noi Bai International airport with flight as: arrive @ ….. – …, transfer to Hanoi Old Quarter and drop at hotel to check in. The rest of the day, you can stroll around the Old Town to get used to the City or just relax to recover from the jetlag or enjoy Street Food Tour for 3hours (from 18.30 – 21.30) which depend on estimated time of the flight. Fot this tour, it could be considered as indoor trip that bring to you a new feeling about Vietnam cuisine and discover chaotic streets of the Old Quarter at night. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B/L)
The city tour of the capital city occupies your whole day. The sites include of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his house-on-stilts, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature – Vietnam’s first university. In the afternoon, the tour continues with a visit to one of the following museum that you can pick the one you like (the Ethnology Museum, Army Museum, National Fine Arts Museum, Hanoi Hilton prison or Vietnam Women Museum). Followed with a short walk or a cyclo ride around the Old Quarter. End the day tour with a traditional Water Puppet show. Take a Night Train for Sapa Tour at 8.30pm – Be escorted to the railway station by Your Vietnam Travel staff for boarding the train to travel up Lao Cai city
Day 3: Lao Cai – Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B/L)
Arrive at Lao Cai station early in the morning and transfer to Sapa. Depending on your fitness level, you can arrange anything from gentle walks to challenging hikes to explore the lush valleys and mountains that surround the town. With an expert local guide, you can navigate small paths through verdant, terraced fields of rice and corn, passing farmers and their water buffalo ploughing the land as they have for centuries. The ethnic-minority groups still maintain their traditions and way of life, including their own language and intricately embroidered, colorful clothing. In the evening, you can stay overnight with a local family in Ta Van village or return to the comfort of your hotel in Sapa.
Day 4: Cat Cat – Sapa – Night Train Hanoi (B/L)
Start your morning with a hike to a beautiful waterfall before continuing on to a picturesque Red Dao village. Red Dao women wear giant red scarves around their heads, and their clothing is embellished with colorful red embroidery and coins. Spend the afternoon at leisure in Sapa before returning to Lao Cai to board the overnight train back to Hanoi.
Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay (L/D)
Arrive in Hanoi at around 5.15 am. Get back hotel to take a shower before start your journey to Halong Bay and arrive at around midday to board a traditional junk for an overnight cruise. Halong Bay is widely considered to be one of the natural wonders of the world. Thousands of towering pillars of sea and wind-carved limestone karst make the bay an unforgettable sight. After lunch, explore some of the huge limestone caves dotted around the bay and visit a floating fishing village. Then the captain will find a secluded spot where you can swim, soak up the sun on the top deck, or try your hand at kayaking. In the evening enjoy a seafood feast for dinner.
Day 6: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Fly to Da Nang (B/L)
Rise early for a lesson in Tai Chi or just to enjoy a hearty breakfast. The boat will make its way back to the port stopping at the Cave of Surprises, full of stalagmites and stalactites. From here, it’s clear sailing back to the main harbour and the return drive to Hanoi and transfer to Noi Bai airport for a jump flight to Da Nang. Subject to flight time we offer optional stop in Bac Ninh, for visiting a special place and the cradle of Vietnamese folklore music in the Red River Delta or Thanh Chuong Viet Palace (with additional charge). Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 7: Tra Que Village (B/L)
In the morning, take half day excursion to Tra Que Vegetable Village, walk around a vegetable garden and join the farmers in preparing the land, fertilizing it with seaweed from the local lake, raking, sowing, watering greens, picking greens and many more gardening activities. After gardening activities you will be relaxed with foot massage with many kind of herb remedies. Then spend the rest time to learn how to prepare ‘Tam Huu’ spring roll & banh xeo with your host. Ride back to your hotel. In the afternoon you will visit Hoi An ancient town. The visit includes Japanese covered bridge, some Chinese Assembly Halls, and some typical Vietnamese houses of 18 century. Free time then on for shopping or relax at café etc. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 8: Hoi An – Hue (B/L)
The car will drive you to Hue which is about 135km via Da Nang. You will travel through Hai Van pass, and pass by Lang Co beach – one of the most beautiful beaches of Vietnam. Arrive in Hue after 3 hours drive. In the afternoon, we take a cyclo ride to visit Imperial Citadel and the Antique Museum. Later on take a short boat trip on Huong River to visit Thien Mu pagoda. Overnight in Hue.
Day 9: Hue Cooking Class and City (B/L)
Morning follow your chef to local market to learn more about Vietnamese ingredients and then join a cooking class demonstrated by the owner of Y Thao Garden House. Lunch served at Vuon Y Thao including the dishes you have learned.
In the afternoon you will visit King Minh Mang’s tomb and King Khai Dinh’s tomb. Then some minutes relax and enjoy Royal tea at Vi Da Xua tea saloon. Overnight in Hue.
Day 10: Hue – Fly to Ho Chi Minh (B)
You will take the midday flight (around 12:00 noon) to Ho Chi Minh City. Pick up and transfer to your hotel. After check in, take half day city tour including War Museum, Reunification Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral. Visit China bustling city with Thien Hau pagoda. The last visit is Fito traditional medicine museum. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 11: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta (B/L)
Our guide and car will lead you to Mekong region. After arrival in Cai Be, take a boat to the floating market. After your lunch time, we proceed to Vinh Long, passing a small and beautiful canal with peaceful tranquil villages, the unique natural setting of Mekong Delta region. Stop at An Binh islet to visit some of the famous fruit orchards. See how local people make ceramics, popcorn and rice paper… A nice chance for bicycle riding through the village and its handicraft shops. Another stop at Vinh Long market before arriving to Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 12: Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh (B/L)
Cruising along the small and picturesque tributaries by a rowing boat, we will see the Cai Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats). See the beautiful scenery and daily activities of the locals. Walk around a village, visit a rice husking mill. Disembark at Ninh Kieu quay, visit an ancient house (in Binh Thuy, 10 km from Cantho) and Cantho museum. Return to Ho Chi Minh City via My Tho town. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 13: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels (B)
Visit Cu Chi tunnels, the incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. Take a guided tour of the Cu Chi tunnels with a veteran guide to gain deep insight and personal accounts of the wartime era. On arrival he will meet the group and take them on a guided tour of the tunnels together with Your Vietnam Travel guide (his service is subject to availability). If desired (and not for the faint hearted and on own account) a round of bullets can be fired from anAK47 gun at a target range at the tunnels. Return Saigon after 4 hours excursion. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 14: Ho Chi Minh Departure (B)
After breakfast, our driver (no tour guide) will pick you up at lobby of hotel in Ho Chi Minh and transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for flight back home
